Visit to Holy Island harbour and castle

17th October 2019
The main school enjoyed their visit to Holy Island harbour and castle.  The children went to the harbour first and watched the fishing boats being brought in.  They also got to see the bait and the tools of the trade.  They took the opportunity to do some sketching of the boats whilst they were there.

After a picnic lunch back at the Holy Island school they then walked up to the castle.  Nick Lewis, the House Steward, gave the children a very informative talk about the railway that used to run on Holy Island before the children had a tour of the castle.
