Vacancies at Lowick

Two vacancies for lunchtimes / lunchtimes & Wednesday afternoon.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable and caring people to join our school team.  We currently have two vacancies at our lovely little school. 

We need people who:

  •          Are friendly, helpful and enjoys being around children
  •          Are willing to be adaptable according to the needs of the school
  •          Can communicate effectively
  •          Understand the importance of health and safety
  •          Are resourceful and can work with initiative and without constant supervision
  •          Will be an ambassador for our school with the local community and support our school ethos

Vacancy 1 – Lunchtime supervisory assistant

We need a lunchtime supervisory assistant to help cover our lunchtimes.  This person will help set up the dining room ready for lunchtime, supervise the children during their lunch and outside on the yard and then clear away the dining room afterwards. 

We need someone from 11.45am for one and half hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) and from 11.15am for one hour on Wednesdays (when we have an earlier lunchtime).  This will add up to 7 hours a week during term time only.  Salary will be in the region of £9 per hour.

This is a permanent contract. 

 

Vacancy 2 – Lunchtime supervisory assistant and Play Leader

We need a lunchtime supervisory assistant / play leader to help support active playgrounds at lunchtimes and on Wednesday afternoons.  This person will help supervise children during lunchtime and encourage active play and games.  This person will also be needed to help supervise the children during their visit to the Swan Centre for PE and swimming on Wednesday afternoons.

Their hours would be:  12 – 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays and 11.30 – 3pm on Wednesdays.  This will add up to 7.5 hours a week during term time only.  Salary will be in the region of £9 per hour.

This is a fixed term contract until the end of the school year (in July 2020).  As this is a new position in school we will need to assess the success of the role and make a decision about whether it should become a permanent position in the new school year.
