BBC filming at Lowick and on Holy Island

18th July 2019
We are excited and proud to have been part of BBC filming for a new history documentary about Holy Island and Bamburgh.  The BBC came to film us at Lowick to record children reasoning about the Viking raid on Lindisfarne in 793 AD.  The children had great ideas and shared them confidently for the cameras.

At the request of the BBC, we also re-enacted the Viking Raid on Holy Island on the beach.  We originally did this back in October as part of our history topic in the Autumn term.  It was interesting to get a glimpse behind the cameras as part of this process!  All in all - it has been great fun and we look forward to seeing the programme some time before Christmas.
