Traffic survey by Year 2

19th November 2019
As part of the maths national curriculum, year 2 children need to practice recording, interpreting, collating, organising and comparing information.  They also need to be taught how to interpret and construct simple pictograms and tally charts.  We decided to link this work into our current theme of travel and transport.

Year 2 visited Beal to complete tally charts about the volume of traffic going north bound and then south bound.  Obviously on such a cold morning, they were very happy to warm up with some hot chocolate from Lindisfarne Inn as well!
