Summer learning ideas

15th July 2021
The children have worked very hard in school this term and they are now all feeling a bit tired and ready for a break.  We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday and that the weather is kind.

Some parents have asked for a few things over the holiday to help keep their child on track before September.  For this reason we have put a few things below which may be helpful.

Firstly, there is the summer reading challenge run by the library service.

Secondly, you will find some key spelling rules / words and a link to some spelling games.

For online practice, please remember that we continue to have our Sumdog subscription (www.sumdog.com)  Your child's log on will be their name, the password is sum and the school code is Lhi.  This website has games linked to maths (including times tables), spelling and grammar.

Lastly, Thrive Approach has created a 6 week summer well being sheet which we attach to this page.
